Elements – Formatting Style

1. Running head- The running head or the title head of the document can either be centered or placed at the left alignment. After leaving 3 to 4 lines from above, place the title. Capitalize the words you mention in the running head.

2. Page number – Mention the page number before the running head aligning to the right side of the document.

3. Author’s name- Mention the name of the author after the title head, but make sure you place a
double-spaced blank line between the two lines. If there are more than one author, use “and” our “or” as a conjunction.

4. Authors affiliation- Mention the name of the university, institution department, or any other place where the research has been conducted.

5. Author’s note- Since the author note is the last section, format it to the bottom of the page, and if it is more than two or three lines align it to the left side of the document.

6. Write all the information in Times New Roman font style and 12 should be the font size.

Student Version of APA Style

Elements- Formatting Style

1. Page Number- In the top right corner of your document, assign the page number.

2. Title Head- Centre the title head after skipping three to four lines from the top of the document. Capitalize all the important words and the first letter of each word.

3. author name- One double-spaced blank should be placed in between the name of the author and the title head. Use “and” & “or”, if there is more than one author.

4. Author Affiliation – Mention the name of the department, School, and other institutions that have backed the document information.

5. Course name – Write the course name which the student is pursuing currently and also mention the specialization.

6. Course Id – Write the course ID or the roll number of the student just below the course name.

7. supervisor’s name – Mention the name of the supervisor or the teacher under whom you have been allotted to work. Name the person of the instructor who has given you the instructions and guided you in the project.

8. Due Date of Submission- Write the due date of the assignment just below the supervisor’s name.

9. All the information you write must be aligned on the center of the page. Capitalize each letter of the word you used on the cover page.

10. Use the same font style and size as you used for the professional format.
